The Gospel and PTSD

Is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in the Bible? Yes, but not in the way we think it is but it's in there.  Psalm 94:19 says, "In the multitude of my anxiety your comforts delight my soul."  Another word for anxiety is thoughts.

David was a man of war.  He endured battles sometimes without the comforts of close companions.  He was a victorious man who struggled with anxious thinking.   King David's life was intense but God never stopped loving him or using him in ministry.

This is a message for those who deal with intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, muscle tension, anxiety, and depression. God loves you.  He cares about you. He will supply who and what you need to carry you through minute by minute. The struggle gets real at times because of what you had to endure.  You are victorious. No one knows about the hurts and pain that you have endured. You are still victorious. He wants to help you recover and heal you. It may not happen over night, but it's not impossible. You are special. You are loved.  Your scars are medals of honor.

You are a warrior! Rise and SHINE!
